Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has charged the newly elected member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Udu State Constituency, Ator Okolosi, to make the interests of his constituents his priority.
Oborevwori gave the charge on Tuesday when he received Okolosi at the Government House in Asaba, alongside the Speaker of the Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor, and other leaders from Udu Local Government Area.
The governor urged the new lawmaker to justify the confidence reposed in him by the people of Udu through effective representation and quality service.
He congratulated Okolosi on his election and subsequent swearing-in, and urged him to remain committed to the development and wellbeing of his constituents for the remainder of the Assembly’s tenure.
Oborevwori also appreciated the people of Udu State Constituency for supporting the All Progressives Congress and its candidate in the September 19 by-election.
He further urged Okolosi to uphold the ideals of the party and work with other stakeholders to advance the interests of the constituency.
Responding, Okolosi thanked the governor, Guwor, party leaders and other stakeholders for their support during the election and his subsequent swearing-in.
The meeting followed Okolosi’s assumption of office as the representative of Udu State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.
