Ubulu Uku Kingdom’s traditional prime minister, Chief Emma Ejiofor, PhD, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the 14th Asagba of Asaba, Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, on his recent royal elevation.
In a congratulatory message to the Asaba monarch-in-waiting, Chief Ejiofor expressed that the esteemed throne of the Asagba, through Professor Azinge’s exemplary lifestyle and legal acumen, has been embraced by all as his rightful place. He emphasized that the Asagba-elect’s unwavering commitment to excellence, leadership, and community service has not only prepared him to ascend the throne but has also solidified his legacy as a transformative leader for the Asaba people.
Chief Ejiofor highlighted Obi Azinge’s profound wisdom and dedication to the advancement of his community. He praised the Asagba-elect’s legacy of excellence, particularly noting his illustrious tenure as the Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and his historic achievement as the first black president of the Commonwealth Arbitral Tribunal. These accomplishments, he remarked, have brought both fame and recognition to Asaba and the black race at large.
