Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has credited the Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, OON, with promoting peace, unity, and development in the Asaba Kingdom over the past two years since his coronation.
Oborevwori stated this in a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, on Monday, to mark the monarch’s second coronation anniversary.
The governor said Azinge’s reign had inspired hope, progress and a renewed sense of pride among the people of Asaba.
He described the monarch’s background as a professor of law, jurist and administrator as valuakingdom’s leadershipthe kingdom.
Oborevwori joined the people of Asaba, the Asagba-in-Council, traditional rulers, government officials, corporate organisations, friends and well-wishers in celebrating the anniversary.
He said, “The second coronation anniversary of the Asagba is an auspicious occasion to celebrate his contributions to peace, unity and development in Asaba Kingdom.”
The governor prayed for continued wisdom, good health and strength for Azinge to sustain his service to Asaba Kingdom and contribute to the development of Delta State.
