The Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church, Winners’ Chapel, Osubi, Delta State, Pastor John Jesus-Favourite, has urged members of the church to support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s bid for a second term in 2027.
Jesus-Favourite made the call during the church’s Sunday service where Oborevwori and his wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, were honoured with Distinguished Service Awards.
The awards were presented by the church’s Covenant Voices and Youth Ministry in recognition of what it described as the couple’s contributions to Christianity and the development of Delta State.
The pastor urged members to continue praying for the governor and support his administration, citing developments across various sectors of the state.
“We must continue to pray for our governor and his administration. We have seen developments across different sectors of the state under his leadership,” he said.
Presenting the awards, Elder Johnson Ogunleye said Oborevwori and his wife deserved the recognition because of their contributions to the Christian faith and society.
The event also featured the sponsorship of SHABACH 2026 and the Annual Youth Alive Conference, AYAC 2026.
Some youths at the service wore customised “Sheriff Support” T-shirts in support of Oborevwori’s administration and the All Progressives Congress.
Some members also commended the state government’s interventions in roads, education, healthcare and youth empowerment.
The church prayed for Oborevwori, his wife, the peace and progress of Delta State and the continued development of Nigeria.
The award presentation took place during the Sunday service at the church’s Osubi branch.
