Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has said his administration is working to accelerate the completion of Ughelli-Asaba dual carriage way to accommodate heavy traffic from warri port.

He said this in his quarterly media interaction with newsmen yesterday.

The governor said when he assumed office in 2015, one of his priorities was to complete the Ughelli-Asaba road.

He stated that currently his administration is working round the clock to complete section C of the road from Ossissa to Asaba between November 2019 and April 2020.

Okowa also said he is hoping that when the Federal Government, through the Nigerian Ports Authority, dredges the second part of the Escravos Bar, there will be more ships coming into Delta State, and the roads to convey the people, goods and services to and from the port.
