LAGOS STATE GOVERNOR TO REHABILITATE 60 SCHOOLS.

Lagos State Governor
Babajide Sanwo-Olu has given the nod for the rehabilitation of 60 public schools across the state.

In a statement signed by the Assistant Director, Public Affairs, Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mr. Kayode Sutton, the Education Commissioner, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo told workers of the ministry in an interactive session that 10 schools would be rehabilitated in each of the six education districts.

However, Mrs Adefisayo said the repairs would take off after due process is followed by all parties involved.

She said the government was poised to intervene in three major areas – teacher training, the curriculum, and infrastructure.

She said the rehabilitation was part of the Sanwo-Olu administration’s transformation plans for the education sector to rank Lagos public schools as number one nationally and groom children who can compete globally with requisite skills for future jobs.

Mrs Adefisayo also spoke of plans to align the school curriculum with 21st century realities – using technology platforms to teach, assess, test and reinforce learning in conjunction with the private sector and development partners.
