An Abuja-based media practitioner, Mr. Victor Ogine, has officially tied the knot with his heartthrob, Oluwadamilola, in a colourful and well-attended wedding ceremony held across Ekiti and Ondo States.

The ceremony, which attracted family members, friends, religious leaders, politicians, business executives, and other dignitaries, began in Ado-Ekiti, the bride’s hometown, before concluding in Akure, the Ondo State capital, where the white wedding was held.

Speaking shortly after the ceremony in Akure, Mr. Ogine expressed gratitude to God for making his marriage dream a reality. He described his wife as the love of his life and said the union was a clear testimony that faith and devotion to God bring lasting rewards.

According to him, marrying Oluwadamilola was the best decision of his life, adding that the success of the wedding reflected God’s faithfulness in his journey.

Barrister and Mrs. Dayo Akinnaanu, parents of the bride, also expressed joy over the successful ceremony. They described Mr. Ogine as a disciplined, focused, intelligent and God-fearing man, noting that he possesses the qualities of a responsible husband. They prayed for God’s blessings upon the new couple.

The wedding sermon was delivered by Venerable Stephen Eletuyi, who described marriage as a divine institution ordained by God. He urged the couple to build their home on love, trust, understanding, peace and unity while warning them against external interference in their relationship.

He also described the bride, Oluwadamilola, as a virtuous woman committed to serving God, adding that she would be a blessing to her husband.

In her remarks, the bride expressed gratitude to God for fulfilling her heart’s desire. She said she would remain committed to her faith and described her husband as “more than gold,” expressing deep appreciation for the union.

Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Lanre Abiodu, advised the couple to build their marriage on the principles of the “three Cs”—commitment, communication and compromise—saying these values are essential for a successful marital life.

He urged them to remain patient and understanding with each other in order to enjoy a lasting and peaceful marriage.

The ceremony was attended by several guests, including Mrs. Justina Ogine, mother of the groom, Pastor Basil Omenogor, and other well-wishers who came to celebrate with the couple.

The colourful event featured prayers, goodwill messages, and celebrations as guests wished the newlyweds a blissful married life.
