The leadership of the Profession Standard Drive (PSD) has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, and the people of the state on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day celebration.
In a goodwill message signed by National Chairman, Abdullahi Danladi Babangida, and National Administration Officer, Obaro Emmanuel Igere, the organization described Democracy Day as an important reminder of Nigeria’s journey toward good governance, justice, freedom, and national development.
PSD noted that the celebration honours the sacrifices of democracy advocates and highlights the collective responsibility of citizens and leaders to build a stronger and more prosperous nation.
The organization praised Governor Oborevwori for what it described as his commitment to the development of Delta State through infrastructural projects, human capital development, and efforts aimed at promoting peace and unity among residents.
According to PSD, the governor’s MORE Agenda has continued to bring the benefits of democracy closer to the people while improving the welfare of citizens across the state.
The group also stated that the governor’s leadership serves as an example to stakeholders in different sectors of the economy, particularly in advancing development and good governance.
PSD prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, good health, and strength for Governor Oborevwori as he continues to lead Delta State.
The organization further wished the governor, his family, and all Deltans a peaceful and memorable 2026 Democracy Day celebration.
