The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, has congratulated a former member of the Assembly, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, on his 60th birthday.
Guwor described the milestone as a celebration of Mayuku’s years of service, sacrifice and contributions to the development of Delta State.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker said Mayuku’s contributions to the state, particularly during his time in the House of Assembly, deserved recognition.
Guwor recalled that Mayuku represented Warri South West Constituency in the Assembly for four terms, where he contributed to lawmaking and good governance.
The Speaker, who currently represents the same constituency and succeeded Mayuku in the Assembly, said the former lawmaker’s experience and contributions to the legislature had continued to inspire him and other members of the House.
He also commended Mayuku for maintaining his commitment to public service as the Director-General of a state government agency.
Guwor said dedication, patriotism and service had remained defining qualities of the former lawmaker’s public life.
He joined Mayuku’s family, friends, political associates and other well-wishers, particularly the people of Warri South West Constituency, to celebrate his 60th birthday.
The Speaker, who is also the Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, prayed to God to grant Mayuku good health, wisdom, peace and strength to celebrate many more years.
He urged the former lawmaker to continue using his experience and wisdom to promote peace, unity and development in Delta State and Nigeria.
Guwor said, “On behalf of my family, the leadership and entire membership of the Delta State House of Assembly, I warmly congratulate you, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, on your 60th birthday anniversary.
“This is indeed a significant milestone and an opportunity to thank God for His faithfulness, preservation and the many years of service and contributions He has enabled you to make to our dear state.”
He further wished Mayuku happiness, prosperity and greater accomplishments, praying that God would continue to preserve him and his family and enable him to celebrate many more birthdays in good health, peace and joy.
