Expired and Banned Drugs Found in Secret Factory in Delta

In a big win against the spread of fake drugs and unsafe products, the Delta State Government has uncovered an illegal drug factory operating secretly within the state.

The discovery was made by the Delta State Health Monitoring Team, working hand-in-hand with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). The operation was led by Mr. Martins Iluyomade, NAFDAC’s Director for the South-East Zone.

The illegal factory was raided after several weeks of surveillance and intelligence gathering. According to officials, the people behind the operation were producing and repackaging expired and banned substances, making them look like new, safe products ready for public consumption.

NAFDAC confirmed that several suspects were caught at the scene and are now in custody. Legal action has already begun, and those involved will be taken to court to face justice.

The Delta State Government is using this case to warn everyone, especially young people, to be careful where they buy drugs or food items. Residents are urged to only buy from registered pharmacies or licensed sellers, not street vendors or unknown shops.

Taking fake or expired drugs is extremely dangerous. It can cause serious health problems—and in many cases, can even lead to death.

This breakthrough shows that the government is working hard to keep people safe, but everyone also has a role to play by staying alert and making wise choices about what they consume.
