Warri, Delta State — The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has joined voices in celebrating Niger Delta leader and philanthropist, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, as he marked his 55th birthday on April 12, praising his contributions to peace and stability in the region.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the forum, DOPF described the celebrant as a transformative figure whose influence has continued to shape developments in the Niger Delta, particularly in the areas of security, community engagement, and economic stability. The group said his leadership journey reflects resilience and a long-standing commitment to regional progress.
The statement, signed by the Forum’s Secretary, Shedrack Onitsha-FCIIMS, MNIPR, noted that Tompolo’s evolution from a key voice in the Niger Delta struggle to a prominent figure in private security operations underscores his dedication to peace-building and national development.
The group further described him as a “liberator and renewed force for good,” stating that his efforts over the years have helped reduce tensions in oil-producing communities while strengthening cooperation between local stakeholders and national institutions.
DOPF highlighted his role as Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, noting that the organisation has played a major part in tackling crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism across the Niger Delta.
According to the Forum, the operations of Tantita Security Services have contributed to improved protection of critical oil infrastructure, increased crude oil output, and enhanced national revenue generation, all of which have had positive effects on Nigeria’s broader economic recovery efforts.
It added that the use of local intelligence and community participation in security operations has helped build trust and improve surveillance across previously volatile areas in the region.
The statement also commended Tompolo’s growing commitment to philanthropy, noting that he has consistently supported community development projects, youth empowerment initiatives, and humanitarian interventions across the Niger Delta.
DOPF said these contributions have strengthened his bond with local communities and reinforced his image as a leader focused not only on security but also on social welfare and human development.
