The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Majesty Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), CFR, Orhue I, on the celebration of his 20th coronation anniversary.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, on Wednesday, Guwor praised the monarch for his outstanding leadership and commitment to peace, unity and cultural preservation over the past two decades.
The Speaker described the Orodje, who also serves as Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, as a father figure and respected traditional ruler whose reign has strengthened the institution of traditional leadership in the state.
According to Guwor, the monarch’s 20 years on the throne have been marked by wisdom, dignity and purposeful service to the people of Okpe Kingdom.
He said the royal father has successfully combined traditional values with modern leadership, helping to promote peace, harmony and development in Okpe Kingdom and across Delta State.
Guwor also commended the retired military officer and former ECOMOG commander for his contributions to the growth of the state through his leadership of the Traditional Rulers Council.
The Speaker prayed for God to bless the monarch with good health, long life and greater wisdom as he continues to serve his people.
On behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, Guwor joined the people of Okpe Kingdom, Deltans and other well-wishers in celebrating the monarch’s 20 years of service, describing the milestone as a reflection of God’s grace and the king’s dedication to peace, unity and the progress of his kingdom.
