The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari died after a protracted battle with Coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19.

Here are some comments gathered from Twitter :

@scofied_dree, “Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari is dead. I hope we take this Coronavirus virus as a state of emergency and start acting ahead.”

@obrienthagreat, “Abba Kyari is dead, now the Nigeria 1st lady can breathe clean air.

“The way you lay your bed, so you shall lie on it”.

They refused to fix the health sector, this is the consequence.”

@pbazia1, “Abba Kyari refused to self-quarantine on returning to the country, infected others, they refused to close our borders after the index case until their people returned with the imported virus and here we are in failed medical system.”

@Abduksalam_jef, “The Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Abba Kyari has died. We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. May Allah forgive his shortcomings.”

@Doyen_king, “The death of the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari doesn’t seem to surprise me. Am I the only one? May his soul rest in peace if he deserves peace. His acts as a living man should judge his dying soul.”

@i_umar, “Innalillahi wa Inna ilaihi raji’un. May Allah forgive Abba Kyari and the entire Ummah who lost their lives due to this pandemic. Ameen.”

@waspapping ”Anybody that’s happy about the death of Abba kyari is stupid, evil and inhumane. Rest on Abba Kyari.”

@abrahamthesaint, “The people who were insulting Abba Kyari and rejoicing that a Nigerian politician tested positive for COVID-19 are the same people showing sympathy now that he is dead. No true love on this app, just clowns and attention seekers.”

@Iam_chisomlucky, “Abba Kyari is dead, I’m not ‘gonna’ rejoice about it because he is also a human being. But do you know millions of innocent Nigerians that have died because of poor health care? I watched my younger brother die in front of me because oxygen was not available.”

@_greyhair, “It’s sad that Abba Kyari died and I’m sure God will comfort his family. As for me though, I can’t fake empathy or condolences because he was part of an administration whose corruption also caused the death of other people’s family members and friends.”

@Yamizhan, “I hope after Abba Kyari death, COVID-19 issues will be tackled with more intensity with an equal treatment to all. 18 people have died so far, the govt & people really need to sit tight on this.”

@fegur_green, “The healthcare they refused to provide for us, they will now enjoy and benefit from it with the rest of us. Nobody is flying anywhere for medical treatment! Rest In Peace Abba Kyari. May God be with your family during these trying times.”
