The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Prince Godwin Ogorugba, says his administration has embarked on road rehabilitation, healthcare improvements and education support projects across the council area.
Ogorugba listed the projects as part of his administration’s GODWIN Agenda, saying they were aimed at improving infrastructure and the living conditions of residents.
The roads rehabilitated by the council include Otor-Owhe–Owhelogbo Road, Otor-Iyede Road, Ozoro Etevie Community Road, Leo Ogor Okuweh Road and Police Station Road in Emevor.
He also listed the construction of a council administrative complex, renovation of community markets, rehabilitation of water schemes, construction of nurses’ quarters and improvements to healthcare facilities among the projects undertaken by his administration.
In education, the chairman said the council had distributed learning materials to pupils in 43 public primary schools and supported the registration of candidates for the Primary Six examination.
He added that the administration had trained youths in digital skills, improved workers’ welfare and introduced programmes to promote child nutrition and grassroots economic empowerment.
Ogorugba said his administration’s development agenda was in line with the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, which focuses on development, opportunities, reforms, peace and security.
He also called on residents to support President Bola Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori and other All Progressives Congress candidates, saying cooperation among the different levels of government would help accelerate development.
The chairman said the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda included economic reforms and fiscal restructuring which, according to him, could improve government revenue and provide more resources for infrastructure, healthcare, education and social welfare.
He urged residents to demonstrate their support for the APC through their votes, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and community development.
