The Delta State Government has approved the conversion of Model Technical College, Omadino, to a campus of the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun.
The development was contained in a circular dated August 18, 2026, signed by the Director of the State Quality Assurance, Ufuoma Idiegbe, on behalf of the Commissioner for Technical Education.
The circular was addressed to the Principal of Model Technical College, Omadino.
Following the conversion, the Principal and all teaching and non-teaching staff of the college have been directed to relocate to Model Technical College, Oghareki, for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The ministry also directed the school management to inform parents and guardians of both existing and prospective students about the development.
According to the circular, parents and guardians who wish their children or wards to continue their education at Model Technical College, Oghareki, are expected to contact the former Principal of Model Technical College, Omadino, for documentation and admission arrangements.
The ministry directed the Principal and other concerned officials to comply with the new arrangement.
The development means that the existing Model Technical College, Omadino, will no longer operate in its previous form, following its conversion into the Omadino Campus of the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun.
The government said the affected staff and students should make the necessary arrangements ahead of the 2026/2027 academic session.
