The Delta Online Publishers Forum has congratulated Okies Victor Okpomo on his conferment and recognition as Chief Okakuro and Ufuoma of Oghara Kingdom, Delta State.
The forum, in a congratulatory message signed by its Chairman, Emmanuel Enebeli, said the conferment of the titles was a recognition of Okpomo’s contributions to his community and the confidence placed in him by the traditional institution and people of Oghara Kingdom.
DOPF said Okpomo’s new responsibilities would provide him with another opportunity to contribute to the development of Oghara Kingdom.
The forum expressed confidence that his experience, wisdom and commitment to community affairs would help promote peace, unity and development in the kingdom.
It also highlighted the role of traditional institutions in preserving the cultural identity and heritage of communities, saying they remained important in promoting unity and peaceful coexistence.
DOPF urged Okpomo to uphold the values associated with his new traditional responsibilities and use his position to contribute positively to the growth of Oghara Kingdom.
The forum joined the people of Oghara Kingdom, as well as Okpomo’s family, friends and associates, in celebrating the conferment of the titles.
It wished the new chief wisdom, strength, good health and a successful tenure.
The statement was signed by Enebeli, who described the occasion as a significant milestone in Okpomo’s life and community service.
