Onishe of Ubulu-Uku Urges Ned Nwoko to Forgive Regina Daniels and Her Family

The Traditional Prime Minister (Onishe) of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom, Chief James Endurance Onwordi Ibori Ubulu, has called on Senator Ned Nwoko to forgive his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, and her family, following the recent dispute that led to the arrest of Regina’s brother, Sammy Daniels.

Speaking on the matter, the Onishe acknowledged that Senator Nwoko’s decision to arrest Sammy was a step taken to defend his integrity, especially after the young man reportedly made threats and allegations against him. However, he appealed to the senator to consider releasing him, stating that the incident had already served as a necessary lesson.

Chief Ibori Ubulu emphasised that the matter should now be resolved peacefully, urging Senator Nwoko to put the past behind him and restore harmony with his wife and in-laws. He noted that the Daniels family worsened the situation by taking private marital issues to social media, which, according to him, brought unnecessary public embarrassment to both families.

He commended Senator Nwoko for his contributions to the state and nation, describing him as a man of honour who has positively impacted many lives. He expressed concern that Regina’s family tried to tarnish his good reputation over a domestic matter that should have been resolved privately.

The Onishe further praised Regina Daniels, saying she had been a good wife and had contributed positively to Senator Nwoko’s life. In the same vein, he noted that Ned’s influence has also played a significant role in Regina’s growth and development.

The traditional leader stressed that disagreements are a normal part of marriage, urging both sides to reflect, forgive, and recommit to building their home:

“No marriage is without challenges. What matters is understanding, patience, and the readiness to forgive. They should find a way to settle this matter and move on. Let peace return to the family.”

Chief Ibori Ubulu concluded by calling for reconciliation, warning against further escalation and urging both families to avoid actions that could deepen the rift or cause further public controversy.
