Okocha Says Christianity Is the Hope Of Nigeria, Calls On CAN, Clergy Men To Look up To God

The General Overseer and Founder of the City of wonders Church Ashaka, in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, Pastor Okocha Godwin Ikechukwuka, has said Christianity is the hope of Nigeria at the moment.

He disclosed this on Friday, February 21, 2020, in an interview with goldennationblog.com.

Okocha revealed that Christianity is a place where characters are molded, smiles put in people’s faces, imbibing the ethics of Christianity and bearing in mind the nature and character of Jesus Christ.

In a bid to promoting a five-day prophetic invasion, Okocha said a programme has been scheduled to commence on Monday, 24th to Friday, 28th February, at the church auditorium located at pilot Road, In Ashaka, Ndokwa East LGA.

The cleric said the five-day prophetic invasion is tagged ” obtain your mantle to prevail in battles” citing 2kings 2:13-14 as the anchor text of the programme.

He asserted that the programme is put together to make sure people get fresh fire, repositioning and taking what belongs to them and serving God in spirit and truth.

Responding to questions on how he got into ministry, Okocha noted that the revelation of establishing the city of wonders came in a glorious ministers conference at the popular Joseph Ayo Babalola Mountian and prayer ground, located in Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State.

He said, ” I was vividly instructed by God to raise soldiers, men that will be pleasurable onto him in reputation and in their character, men that will carry fire for Christ and depopulate the kingdom of the devil to populate that of God”.

Meanwhile, as to the spate of killings in the northeast, Okocha describes the attitude as inhumane and unholy stressing that Christians in the northeast should not give up in their faith.

He, therefore, called on other Christians to be spirit-filled adding that pastors in the country should concentrate more on raising disciples who will be accountable to God on the day of judgement.

” Christianity without heaven is like entering a vehicle without getting to the required destination. Our destination as Christians is heaven. We should be heavenly minded and focused. Building cathedrals and mission are not all about it, We must be rebranded and rooted in Christ in order to smile at the feet of Jesus on the last day” He said.

The dynamic minister called on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Executives, particularly pastors to look up to God and feed his flocks in the will of God adding that the church of God must be erected on a solid rock in order to develop and maintain a good Christian platform in Nigeria.

Recall that Joseph Ayo Babalola between (25 April 1904 – 26 July 1959) was the first General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, popularly called CAC in Nigeria.

He was credited with healing powers.

Also, The Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) a private Nigerian university located in Ikeji-Arakeji in Osun State, was established by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide and named after Babalola. It is located at the place where he says he was called by God in 1928.
