Nigerian veteran Actor, Pete Edochie, says, it is completely bad for a man to squat while proposing to a woman.

Pete Edochie, made these statements recently while speaking during ‘IGBOEZUO 2020’ interview.

According to Edochie, kneeling while proposing to a woman signifies the man handling the mantle of leadership to the woman.

He added, “Kneeling down to propose to a woman is totally bad, it is not our civilization.

He went further to explain that, Marriage in the Igbo tradition is when a lady provides her spouse a glass of palm wine while kneeling down. He also asked, What does it signify? and That the man has been received as the husband of the lady. It is the lady who knees before the husband, not vice versa,” he said.
