I Never Said Coronavirus Is Caused By Corruption – Magu Denies Video

The acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu, as denied saying that coronavirus is caused by corruption.

Magu said that the video that claimed he actually made the remark is both false and rather misleading.

On its official Twitter handle, the commission said that what acting chairman said was “Tackling corruption is a clarion call, given that corruption is a huge burden to the nation. It is worse than Cancer, Ebola Virus, Coronavirus and all other deadly diseases put together.”

It, therefore, called on The Cable, the online newspaper which put out the video to immediately make a correction to this effect.

However, the video clip in which Magu was said to have made this comment is already going viral on social media.
