BREAKING: Bayelsa Assembly Speaker, Steps Down For Deputy

The Bayelsa State House of Assembly has elected Deputy Speaker, Abraham Ngobere, as the new Speaker of the Assembly.

The Assembly Speaker, Monday Bubou-Obolo, stepped down to pave way for Abraham.

This is because of the fact that the newly inaugurated Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, is from the same Senatorial District as the former Speaker, Bubou-Obolo.

They are both from Bayelsa Central Senatorial District.
