Reverend Anthony Oyi, an Anglican Communion Priest residing in Oko-Agbele quarters, in Isele-Mpkitime, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, had been allegedly kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

It was gathered that Rev. Oyi had gone to work on his farm with his family and a friend to his family, at Issele-Mkpitime, Aniocha North LGA of Delta State before he was attacked by the suspected herdsmen.

It was also reported that the kidnappers had released the Priest’s wife and children but kept the Reverend and his friend in their custody.

It was also alleged that the wife of the priest was ordered by the kidnappers to look for money for the release of her husband.

In order to ensure the immediate release of the abducted victims, the Issele-Uku and Issele-Mkpitime vigilante group had swung into a vigorous search to every nook and cranny of the area.

Anyone with valid information as to the abductor’s hideouts should contact the nearest police station or security agencies.
