Another Tanker Demolished By fire in Onitsha

A tanker loaded with liters of petrol with no registration number, was on Wednesday razed at Nkpor area of Onitsha, Anamber State.

The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra Command, Mr. Andrew Kumapayi confirmed the incident to journalists

He said the tanker loaded with fuel caught fire at about 6:50 p.m on Wednesday.

Kumapayi said an investigation disclosed that the fire was affected by a mechanical deficiency.

“The fuel loaded tanker caught fire due to mechanical deficiency in the engine of the vehicle.

“The fire which completely burnt the tractor, was put-off by sympathizers, using fire extinguishers.

“Two male adults were involved. No casualty or injury was recorded.
