Graceville International School has opened a new school along the Asaba-Ibusa Express Road in Delta State, citing the need to expand access to quality education in the area.
The new branch, located after Rehoboth Bus Stop, was unveiled during a dedication ceremony attended by parents, students and other guests.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Graceville Group of Schools, Engr. A.T. Okonji-Umukoro, said the investment was driven by her commitment to providing quality education to children in the area.
Umuokoro said the school was established to give students an environment where they could develop their academic abilities, talents and other potentials.
She said communities with growing populations needed schools capable of providing quality education and preparing children for the future.
According to her, the vision of Graceville is to create a centre of excellence that provides world-class education while developing future leaders.
She added that investment in education and infrastructure was necessary to reduce inequality and create more opportunities for children to succeed.
Umuokoro said the school would also focus on developing students’ spiritual, physical, emotional, social and mental abilities, while promoting discipline and leadership qualities.
She urged parents seeking academic and moral development for their children to consider the new campus.
Also speaking, Mr Ayo Adara told the students to take advantage of the facilities provided by the school and take their education seriously.
He said education remained an important foundation for achieving prosperity and urged parents to support their children’s academic development.
The Executive Director of the school, Ms Ebube Okonji, expressed appreciation to parents and other guests who attended the ceremony.
She said the school would continue to promote excellence and provide a modern and inclusive learning environment supported by technology.
The management said the new campus would provide students in the Asaba-Ibusa corridor with opportunities to pursue academic excellence and develop their talents.
