Rapper CDQ released after being arrested by NDLEA

Nigerian indigenous rapper, Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, popularly known as CDQ, has been released after he was arrested on Wednesday by the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency for violating its law.

It was gathered that the rapper was arrested at his Lekki residence on Wednesday, April 14, after an intelligence report.

According to an interview by NDLEA Director, Media, and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi stated that the case is still been investigated, adding that, some Cannabis substance known as ‘Loud’ was found in the rapper’s house.

In the interview, the NDLEA boss stated that he was arrested based on intelligence at his Lekki house and he was granted administrative bail on Wednesday night, stating that CDQ is expected to come back into custody because it is an ongoing investigation.

The NDLEA Director, also added that CDQ mentioned some names of some other big artists, adding that, the outcome of the investigation would determine what would happen.

While explaining the scenario of what might happen after the investigation, Babafemi stated that there are cases whereby the investigation shows some sufficient infractions, and then the case will go to court, adding that, there are other cases whereby if the quantity is insignificant, we will bring him in for counseling and possibly rehabilitation.

However, CDQ on Wednesday night has taken to his Instagram page to express his circumstance stating that, “No sleep for the wicked 👽 Vidyalaya yin o ni sun for dis Lagos… They tryna set me up today but Olohun way 🙏.”
