Amid the ongoing election frenzy, Hon. Monday Odigwe, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ika North East Local Government Area, expressed his hopes for a peaceful and well-coordinated election. Casting his vote at Ward 13, Units 13, 14, and 15, Hon. Odigwe took a moment to share his expectations with the press.
With gratitude, he thanked the Governor of Delta State and the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) for their efforts in ensuring a smooth electoral process thus far. “By God’s grace, it has been a very peaceful process,” he stated, acknowledging the collective efforts to maintain order and civility during the election.
Optimistic about his chances, Hon. Odigwe expressed confidence in his community’s support, noting a hundred per cent voter turnout. He hoped for the same level of participation from all communities within the Ika North East area, emphasizing the importance of active civic engagement.
Interestingly, while monitoring the election outcome in Ika North East, candidates from other political parties were notably absent. It remains to be seen whether their absence was due to strategic reasons or logistical challenges.
As the voting process continues, all eyes are now on the Ika North East Local Government Area, where Hon. Monday Odigwe and his supporters eagerly await the results. Will his expectations of a peaceful and successful election be met?
