The Commissioner representing Ndokwa East Local Government at the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon. Ikechukwu Akozor and the Special Adviser to the state governor on Youth, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi has donated materials and food items worth millions of naira to orphans and widows in Ndokwa East.
Hon Ezechi, speaking at the occasion for the donation held recently, said that caring for motherless and widows has been his pet project since he was DESOPADEC commissioner.
He thanked the current commissioner for joining hands with him to reach out to the less privileged in Ndokwa nation.
Also speaking, Hon. Ikechukwu expressed happiness that he was a part of the project adding that he would soon float a pet project on philanthropy so that widows, orphans and the disabled can be carried along.
Materials donated included mattresses, bedsheets, and pillows, wrappers, bags of rice, bags of beans, salt, gallons of groundnut oil, and palm oil.
The recipients were orphanage homes, widows, and disabled from Aboh and Ashaka, both in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State.
