Delta Commissioner Aniagwu, charges youth on talent development

The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu has called on youths in the state to key into the prosperity agenda of the State Government.

He made the call while playing host to an upcoming comedian, Dome Bright who paid him a courtesy in his office recently.

Aniagwu, told the youths to develop their talents and acquire skills that will make them productive members of the society as well as employers of labour stressing that this will help reduce unemployment in the society.

The commissioner pointed out that apart from keying into the numerous state government skills acquisition programme, which he said had benefited many Deltans, some youths had taken it upon themselves to develop their God given talents, adding that such had impacted positively in the life of Deltans economically and socially.

He further stated that apart from the economic gains, comedy was also a cure to ease stress and heaviness occasioned by certain life challenges.

Aniagwu, urged youths to strive to develop their talents, saying that the society had evolved to the extent that no talent should be wasted.

“When people are entertained and energized, they have a way of contributing their quota to the development of the society and it goes a long way in promoting peace,” Aniagwu said.

The information boss therefore urged other youths to copy comedians like Dome Bright, whom he said was following the footsteps of notable comedians such as Ali Baba and Frank D Don, among others, stressing that the comedy market had huge business potentials.

Earlier, Dome Bright notified the commissioner of his forthcoming comedy show in Agbor, which according to him, would attract prominent comedians of Delta State origin.

The comedian called for the commissioner to be present during the occasion in December, 2020 as well as lend his support to ensure the success of the event in Agbor, Delta State.
