Mr. Macaroni reveals why he joined other protesters

Popular social media comedian, Mr. Macaroni has finally revealed why he joined other protesters on Saturday under the hashtag #Occupylekkitollgate.

Mr. Macaroni who was arrested on Saturday along with other protesters revealed that he joined others because he knew people would be there and in good conscience.

He explained that he knew people would die and words would not get out. People would have died because nobody would know where people were or who arrested them. He added.

He further explained that, when they were arrested, they were taken to Adeniji, beaten up, and stripped naked. He said the current situation of the country is a ‘deep shit’ as everyone is scared for their lives.

According to a video he shared on his social media platforms, he said, initially, “I was scared because I had received series of phone calls from my parents, siblings, and friends not to join the protest but I later join because I knew people would be there as they were not there to fight but just to ask why the toll gate should be opened.”

He also stated that the police officers who arrested the protesters said they would have killed them if everyone has not known of their arrest.

He said, 39 persons were arrested and they stood on their grounds. According to him, the 39 persons arrested were the ones that gave him the ginger to join the protest as they seem to be the real heroes.

He furthermore denied the allegations that former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar was the one bankrolling him, stressing that he never collected money from anybody to protest.

Mr. Macaroni in his gratitude, called for unity among celebrities, urging people to desist from creating division among themselves based on who joined the protest or not.

He thanked the youths for speaking up while also expresses joy over Nigerians who rally support for him and other protesters.
