Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has requested the upgrade of three higher institutions to the university level.
This is contained in a request sent to the speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and was read on the floor of the house, during Tuesday’s plenary.
According to the statement which was seen by goldennationblog.com, the institutions to be upgraded to university level include:
Delta State College Of Education, Agbor, to Delta State University of Education, Agbor, Delta State University Anwai campus, to Delta State University of Science and Agriculture, Anwai- Asaba, and Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro to Delta State University Of Science and Technology Ozoro.
Recall that goldennationblog.com had recently reported that Governor Okowa will on February 2, inaugurate some completed roads and schools in Warri and Effurun, both in Delta State.
