Gunmen at the weekend abducted the chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Delta Chapter, Comrade Goodluck Ofobruku in Asaba, the Delta State Capital.
It was gathered that the unionist was driving out of his house behind Immigration Office off the Ughelli-Asaba expressway when he was abducted.
Secretary of the NLC in the state, Comrade Innocent Ofonyeade, explained that Ofobruku was driving in the NLC Sienna bus at about 8.00 p.m when he was kidnapped.
According to the NLC penman, Ofobruku was on his way out that night to get drugs.
