Oborevwori Calls on Isoko Nation to Vote APC in 2027

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has urged the people of the Isoko Nation to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, saying the party deserves their backing because of the development projects executed in the area.

The governor made the appeal on Monday while inspecting completed and ongoing projects at the College of Health Technology in Ovrode and the Ozoro Modern Market in Isoko North Local Government Area.

Oborevwori said his administration had invested heavily in roads, healthcare, education and other infrastructure across Isoko Nation and the rest of the state, adding that residents should reward the government’s efforts by voting for APC candidates in the next elections.

“What the Isoko people owe us is that in 2027, they should deliver all our candidates. We have done roads here, we have invested in health and education, and our footprints are visible across the state. We are working in all 25 local government areas and the three senatorial districts,” he said.

The governor explained that he personally inspects projects before they are commissioned to ensure they meet the required standards.

He said although the College of Health Technology project was impressive, some finishing touches, including landscaping and minor corrections, must be completed before it would be inaugurated.

Oborevwori described the college as one of his administration’s key projects, noting that the government also constructed an access road to improve movement to and from the institution.

“When we approved this project, we also decided that it deserved a good access road. Today, the road has been completed, and when we commission the college, we will commission the road as well,” he said.

Speaking on the Ozoro Modern Market, the governor said he was satisfied with the quality of work, adding that the facility had been completed and was ready for commissioning.

He stressed that his administration was not focused only on road construction but was also making major investments in education, healthcare and other critical sectors across Delta State.

Oborevwori recalled that the government had also completed major projects at Southern Delta University, Ozoro, saying development was taking place across the state under the M.O.R.E. Agenda.

Earlier, the contractor handling the Ozoro Modern Market, Chief Iduh Amadhe, said the market had been completed since last year and was awaiting official commissioning.

He said the market has 192 open shops, 28 lock-up shops, eight warehouses, 16 modern toilets, water facilities, four fire points, meeting halls, administrative offices and two security posts.

Amadhe, however, expressed concern over repeated acts of vandalism at the market, revealing that about N3.2 million had been spent repairing damaged facilities after three separate attacks.

He appealed to the state government to provide adequate security around the market to protect the facility and ensure it serves traders and residents after commissioning.
