Asaba, Delta State — November 10, 2026: The Integrity Group of Delta State on Monday held its stakeholders’ meeting at Orchid Hotel, Asaba, where members unanimously endorsed Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for second terms in office, declaring a “4+4” mandate for both leaders ahead of the next general elections.
The meeting, themed “Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda: Strengthening Continuity, Inclusiveness, and Progressive Governance in Delta State,” brought together political stakeholders, community leaders, women groups, youth representatives, and supporters from across the state.
The motion for the endorsement was moved by Rt. Hon. Basil Ganagana, former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, and seconded by Hon. Ovie Agas, former lawmaker representing Ughelli Constituency and former Chief of Staff to the Delta State Government.
Convener and National Chairman of the Integrity Group, Dr Oke Idawene, said the group based its endorsement on the developmental strides recorded under the Oborevwori administration, noting improvements in infrastructure, peace, and socio-economic opportunities.

“Delta has experienced meaningful development, realistic reforms, and enhanced peace and security under Governor Oborevwori. He deserves a second term to consolidate these gains,” Idawene said.
He added that President Tinubu’s ongoing reforms were also beginning to yield results, particularly in security and economic recovery.
“There is No Vacancy in 2027” — Women’s Representative
Speaking on behalf of women stakeholders, Barr. Mrs Mary Every Erijoe, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Women Development, welcomed the endorsement and described it as well-deserved.
“To God be the glory. This is a very auspicious day. Integrity Group started here in Delta and has now formally endorsed both the President and the Governor. I am happy to be part of this,” she said.
“Governor Oborevwori has touched every district. Look at Asaba today — the deep drainage systems have ended flooding. Look at the bridges and road networks in Warri constructed by Julius Berger. The governor is delivering for all Deltans.
Therefore, by 2027, there will be no vacancy. Every woman and every girl should stand with this endorsement.”
Also speaking, Hon. Mrs Cordelia Anyanwu, DESOPADEC Commissioner representing Ika Constituency, said the Integrity Group’s endorsement aligns with other groups across the state who have acknowledged Oborevwori’s performance.
“We are reaffirming what many groups have already stated: Governor Oborevwori is performing and deserves continuity,” she said.
Moving the endorsement motion, Rt. Hon. Basil Ganagana urged Nigerians to remain patient with ongoing economic reforms at the national level.
“No economy recovers overnight. Policies require time to mature,” he said.
“The reforms are taking effect gradually. Security improvements and exchange rate adjustments show progress. Nigerians should be patient with the President.”
The Integrity Group announced statewide mobilisation efforts to ensure widespread grassroots support for the Governor and the President in the next election cycle.
