Abuja, May 23, 2025 – At the big APC National Summit held in Abuja, the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, gave a strong and hopeful speech. Many important people were there, like Professor Ali Pate, Rt Hon Abass, and other leaders. But it was President Tinubu’s speech that made the biggest impression on everyone.
During his speech, the president talked about the changes his government is making to help Nigeria grow stronger. He told everyone that even though some of these changes are hard, they are very important for the country’s future.
“Nothing good comes easy in life,” President Tinubu said. “We had to make tough choices so that things can become better for everyone later.”
He also joked with the National Assembly members in the audience about his tax reform bills. He asked, with a smile, “Where are the tax bills and when are you returning them to us?” pointing at Senator Akpabio and Speaker Abass. This made the whole hall laugh, but it also showed that the president is serious about improving the economy.
President Tinubu explained that since he took office in May 2023, his team has worked hard to fix problems. One big change was ending the confusing way Nigeria had different money exchange rates. He said these changes are already helping the economy.
He also shared his vision through something he called the “Renewed Hope Agenda.” This plan includes:
- Making the economy better
- Keeping people safe
- Fighting corruption
- Fixing the government
- Helping people out of poverty
He told everyone that even though things have been difficult, the future is bright for Nigeria.
“We are on the right path,” President Tinubu said. “Nigeria will be great once again!”
People in the audience were excited, and many clapped loudly after his speech. They felt encouraged and believed that better days are coming for Nigeria.
