Delta State Police Command Goes Tough On Drugs Barons, Indian Hemp Dealers, Cultists

The Delta State Police Command has taken it hard on drugs barons, Indian hemp dealers and also arrested 25 male suspected cultists in the state.

This was disclosed by the command spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, on Thursday, February 3, 2021, in Asaba, the state capital.

According to DSP Edafe, he said “On 1/2/2020 at about 0900hrs, acting on intelligence, the Command Crack Surveillance team raided a black spot in Okwuch quarters, Eku during which one Larry Onifon ‘m’ age 24yrs was arrested.

“The Suspect who claimed to be a fashion designer was arrested in the drug Neighborhood while other suspects took to their heels. The following exhibits were recovered: Forty (40) packets of 100mg Tramadol, eighty-nine (89) wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp, four (4) sachets of Swinol, three (3) containers of Loud, fifty-five (55) wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine.”

“The suspect Larry Onifon also stated that the cartel popularly called the “OBJ cartel” is owned by one of the fleeing suspects named “OBJ”. The suspect is in custody while a manhunt for the other fleeing suspects is ongoing.”

DSP Edafe also said that “On 31/01/2022 at about 2100hrs, the Command Raider’s operatives raided a criminal hideout at Agbor, Delta State, during which twenty-five (25) male suspected cultists were arrested.”

“Some of the suspects confessed to being members of Black Axe Confraternity and Junior Supreme Aiye Confraternity. The investigation is ongoing.”

The police spokesperson added that the Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, FCIA, psc+ while appreciating officers and men for their tireless efforts in the fight against crime and criminality, also admonished them to be alive to their responsibilities and discharge their duties effectively.

He said “The CP thanked Members of the public and other stakeholders for their continuous support and partnership with the Command. He assures all that the Command under his watch will not let them down.”
