During an interview with GQ Magazine, Nigerian Grammy Award winner, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy revealed why he chooses greatness that led to his recent success in the global space while revealing that at a point in his life, greatness is more important than death.
According to him, after several collaborations with African artists, he decided that he wanted it all stating that he wanted to be the greatest while also added, saying at that point, it has to be a do or die stuff.
While still speaking, the ‘Way Too Big’ crooner explained how winning the Grammy Award broke the mental revolution of people who felt that certain things cannot be accomplished recounting that he was not celebrating because of himself, rather he was celebrating as he knew he had broken a mental succession of people.
He said, “Our people had been very mentally oppressed to feel like they could not do certain things, and that certain things were unreachable.”
Speaking further, he also explained how he had to think for a whole lot of people stating that things are bigger than him and every day, he had to think for everyone basically for a whole generation before he could ever think for himself.
