Gbagi proposes new 100 industries in 100 days if elected

Former minister of education and frontline Governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi has resolved to establish 100 industries within hundred days if allowed to take over from Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa, stating that he possesses the best credentials to succeed him.

According to Olorogun Gbagi, he has taken an in-depth feasibility study on the various locations of the industries across the 25 local government areas of Delta State.

Gbagi made this revelation while speaking during an interactive session with journalists when he paid a visit to the temporary press center of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council in Asaba on Thursday.

The Legal giant and industrialist stated that “As one of the founding fathers of the PDP in Delta State, he is eminently qualified to build on the stronger Delta legacies that Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is bequeathing to Deltans.

The former education minister described Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as a thoroughbred administrator whose achievements are in job and wealth creation, roads and infrastructure, peace and security, education, and agricultural revolution among others.

He added that Okowa has placed Delta State on the national map, stating that, he intends to take it up from there and make it what Lagos is to Nigeria if given the mandate.

He said, his intention, is to clinch the PDP gubernatorial ticket for the 2023 elections, stating that, he is confident that Governor Okowa whom he knows will not hand over to anyone that cannot build on the legacies he is bequeathing to Deltans.”

Olorogun Gbagi explained that with his wealth of experience in the business sector and coupled with his vast contacts across the globe, the realization of the industrial revolution which will lift more Deltans out of poverty into gainful employment is sure-footed.

Gbagi also went down memory lane to recount when he was a minister of education, stating that, under his watch, the Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), Ughomro In Uvwie Local Government was actualized, while also stated that, countless federal universities, federal polytechnics, college of education, unity schools as well as Almajiri schools were built in all the Geo-political zones of the country.

The former minister and consummate Paul Harris fellow of the Rotary international also charged members of the NUJ to turn up their antennas in being a voice to the voiceless and engaged the political class to enable transparency in governance and public office.

While speaking, the Delta State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Mike Ikeogwu, stated that Olorogun Gbagi is the first Governorship aspirant who has visited journalists in the State, adding that, if become governor with his wealth of experience in politics, together with administration, and business, is confident that the front line governorship aspirant will do competently.
