The Chairman of Delta State Community Policing (Vigilante) Ika North East Chapter, Mr. Amos Agbobu has said they will not back down in its force to combat crime in the area.
He disclosed this during the vigilante’s meeting at Igbodo, Ika North East local government area.
Agbobu said: “Most of us have been cut out for this job. Therefore, we will never get tired in fighting crimes in our communities.”
He therefore,alled on members of the public to give them information when necessary in order to fight crime in the area.
He said: “If you are fond of involving yourself in criminal activities, you better desist from it.”
The vigilante boss also called on youths to stay away from hard drugs and other banned substances, stressing that it could lead them into crime.
He charged his colleagues to continue to do their best in the line of duty.
“Your efforts are already becoming visible. As you can notice, the spite of Kidnapping and stealing around Power line and Railway have dropped. This is a result of your selfless engagement and we commend you all” he added.
He commended the Divisional Police Officers in Ika nation as well as other individuals for their significant contributions to the group noting that security is a general responsibility.
