The Democratic candidate in the US presidential election Joe Biden, has said he does no doubt that he and Senator Kamala Harris will be declared winners when all ballots are counted.

The presidential candidate speaking in a briefing on Thursday, November 5, said votes are sacred in America and called for every ballot to be counted by the will of voters.
He stated that democracy can be messy, but also noted that democracy requires patience.
Biden said he and Kamala Harris feel very good about where things stand at the moment. He urged Americans to stay calm, emphasising that the process is working and the vote count would soon be completed. The Democratic candidate also raised concerns about the rising COVID-19 deaths in the country which he said is nearing almost 240,000 cases. He sympathised with everyone who has lost a loved one to the disease.
Meanwhile, sources close to Donald Trump have reportedly said the US president is considering contesting for the presidency in 2024 if he is defeated by Joe Biden. CNN reported that insiders in the White House said the idea of a Trump comeback was discussed by some aides in the Trump campaign. Jim Acosta, a CNN White House correspondent in a broadcast on Thursday, November 5, said some aides and advisers think Trump will lose the election.
In a related development, as Joe Biden moved closer to victory over Donald Trump in the US presidential race, the Democratic candidate promised to rejoin the Paris climate agreement if he is elected.
Biden made the pledge in a tweet on Thursday, November 5. He has rolled back several environmental regulations designed to protect the environment and stave off climate change.
