Hon. Nwaobi assumed office as the Leader of the House on June 24, 2023, two weeks after the inauguration of the 8th Assembly. As House Leader, he serves as the official spokesperson, represents the Governor in legislative matters, and speaks on behalf of the ruling party in the House. He also doubles as the Chairman of the Nigeria Majority Leaders’ Forum, a position he has held for the past two years.
