In Trinidad and Tobago, a 21-year-old hairdresser named Jessie James is in the hospital after two women attacked her with a harmful liquid, believed to be acid. The attack happened because the women accused Jessie of talking to men they knew.
According to Jessie’s aunt, Galia Noel, one of the women contacted Jessie for a hair appointment. But when Jessie arrived, she was tricked and taken to a different place, where two women confronted her. During the argument, they threw two cups of hot liquid on her and ran away.
Jessie screamed for help, and two kind women rushed her to the hospital. She has serious injuries, including burns on her face and trouble seeing. One of her eyes is swollen and red, and she can barely see through it.
Her aunt is heartbroken and says Jessie is a kind person who did not deserve such an attack. She also feels disappointed that women would hurt another woman in such a cruel way.
The police have taken a statement about the attack and are investigating the case.
