There was a commotion at Umusume community, Obiaruku, in the Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State as residents discovered the lifeless body of a young lady.
It was gathered that the girl, identified as Miss Anwuli Agu, in her 20s was said to have been killed by hoodlums.
The incident was said to have caused panic among residents of the community.
A source in the community revealed that the lady was murdered and dumped at the premises of the Esume-uku Primary School, Obiaruku, by the hoodlums.
“We are suspecting that the killing of the girl is for ritual purposes, because some of her vital organs are missing with her hair shaved off,” the source stated.
He said the remains of the victim were evacuated from the scene of the incident by police personnel from the Obiaruku Division.
When contacted, the Police Public Relationsons Officer in the state, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident, adding that efforts were on to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of the young girl
