Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has opened up about her love life, revealing that most of the men showing interest in her are either married or much older.
In a recent interview on the American podcast Lip Service, the award-winning singer said she has reached a point in her life where “eligible bachelors” are hard to find.
“If I meet somebody who can really marry me, they’re either in their 50s or already married. So, I don’t know — maybe I can be a second wife. I think so. I could be a second wife,” she said jokingly.
The ‘Somebody’s Son’ crooner also explained that she would have no problem being in a polygamous marriage, as long as there is peace and respect in the relationship.
“I think I can get along with the first wife. She’s going to love me because I’m not troublesome. I’ll be going on tours, not stressing anybody. I’m very respectful, and I know she’s the first wife, so I’d accord her that respect,” Tiwa added.
Tiwa Savage was previously married to music executive Tunji Balogun, popularly known as TBillz, from 2013 to 2018. Their marriage ended in separation, and they share one son together.
The singer’s comments have since sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans praising her honesty and others debating her views on marriage and relationships.
