The teaser for the remake of ‘Aki and Pawpaw’ has been released.
Fileone Entertainment, the Nigerian movie studio released the teaser of the classic family comedy movie on Wednesday on its verified Instagram page ahead of December 17 that it will be released to the cinema.
The movie will see Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme rehash their roles as hilarious brothers (Aki and Pawpaw).
Other cast members include Toyin Abraham, Amaechi Muonagor, Anita Asuoha (Real Warri Pikin), Uti Nwachukwu, Stan Nze, MC Lively, Beverly Osu, Juliet Ibrahim, Hanks Anuku, and Chioma Okafor.
The film was produced by Chris Odeh and directed by Biodun Stephen.
The remake of the movie was first revealed in May when Ikedieze and Iheme shared an Instagram conversation about dropping the new project.
It got fans excited as they yearned for the return of the iconic duo to their screen after a decade and a half.
The two celebrated comic actors have attained greatness in the country’s movie industry with various awards and recognition.
In 2007, Iheme received the lifetime achievement award at the African Movie Academy Awards.
He was also honored as a member of the order of the federal republic (MFR) by President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011.
Ikedieze, on the other hand, grabbed strings of awards and starred in over 150 films in an outstanding pursuit.
