Hon. Stanley Chukwudumebi Otoma, the Managing Director of One Needs Properties and Construction Limited, has called on political leaders, companies, and well-meaning individuals to support the government in building a better future for young people.
He appealed during a charity visit to Omu Girls Model School II in Ezukwu Ibusa, where he donated writing materials, textbooks, storybooks, and sandals worth millions of naira.
The event, held on the school grounds in Oshimili North Local Government Area, also saw Otoma give cash to teachers. He further promised to pay the next academic year’s Common Entrance Examination fees for all pupils in Oshimili North.
Otoma said the government cannot solve every problem alone and needs the help of private individuals, organisations, and community groups. He encouraged more people to support education and young children.
He also spoke about the financial challenges teachers face and explained that the cash donation was a way of appreciating their hard work.
“I know that many of you have salaries that barely sustain you, and some even face deductions from cooperatives. That is why we decided to support you financially,” he said. “Whenever I come around, I get emotional because these children are the future leaders.”
He added that education is the key to success and urged leaders at all levels to remember where they come from, saying true development begins at home.
The Headmistress of the school, Mrs Blessing Nkechi, thanked Otoma and others from Ibusa who continue to support the school. She prayed for God’s protection over him and advised the pupils to make good use of the items they received.
Otoma is well-known as a successful businessman whose real estate work has helped many people in Delta State and beyond. His simple lifestyle, accessibility, and visionary mindset have earned him the admiration of the people of Oshimili North, who praised his generosity.
The event ended with drama performances and cultural displays that added colour to the celebration.
