The Ogwashi Uku Political Leaders and Elders Forum, (OPLEF), will meet on Friday, November 26, 2021, to fashion ways towards attracting more development to Ogwashi uku kingdom, headquarters of Aniocha South.
it will, in addition, conclude on charting a clear course towards supporting Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in his redoubled task of finishing strong on his second term in office.
According to a statement signed by the group’s National Secretary, Nnamdi Peter Okozi, and the National Chairman of the forum, Chief A.C Okocha, said the all-important meeting is expected to be attended by political appointees in the Okowa administration, leaders, and elders as well as Councilors representing the three wards of Ogwashi uku.
The PDP elder statesman who stated that the OPLEF is strictly for political leaders and stakeholders of Ogwashi uku extraction, stressed the need for continuous brainstorming by members of the group as that will, in the long run, engender unity and enable them to speak with one voice in attracting the dividends of democracy to Ogwashi uku kingdom.
He listed the several infrastructural development projects embarked on and completed by the Okowa administration in Ogwashi-uku to include the council, agidiehe, hospital roads, and others ongoing that will be completed before the end of the present administration, as well as the Agro-industrial park that will boost immeasurably, the economic fortunes of Ogwashi uku in particular and the entire Delta in general.
The OPLEF National Chairman also added that the town is blessed with a roll call of its indigenes in various sensitive political positions in the Okowa administration, and as such will show gratitude by continuing to support the Governor.
The venue for the OPLEF strategic meeting which will commence from 3 pm prompt is the country home of the group’s National Chairman, Chief A.C Okocha, ACOM house, along the Isah road, Ogwashi uku.
