Obi Cubana reveals how he made his first million

The Chairman of Cubana Group, Obi Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana, has declared openly how he made his first million nairas.

Obi Cubana said his breakthrough came after his National Youth Service Corps program in Abuja, a revelation he made during an interview with BBC Pidgin on Tuesday.

The political science graduate who graduated from the University of Nsukka explained that he underwent his NYSC program in Abuja where he was subject to a monthly allowance of over N100.

He said with the N2000 he earned from his Place of Primary Assignment at the National Assembly, he was able to manage with his friends and brothers in a one-room apartment in Zone 4, Abuja.

Narrating how he made his first million, he said during his days in Abuja, he was introduced to a real estate business where he met a client who wanted to furnish a house.

According to him after furnishing the house, the client gifted him N500,000, as he also made over N600,000 in profits for the job.

He said “That was the first N1.1 million I made before I joined contract work in Abuja. I signed a contract with PPMC, made a little money then bought my Mercedes V-boot.”

Also, he revealed that he invested the money he made into a garden beer parlour before he established Cubana which now gained national and international recognition.

He also urged people to desist from thinking that wealth must come through illegal means.

Obi Cubana further advised people in the same vein to be straightforward and be honest in their dealings, stating that their honesty will open more doors of success for them.

Recall, the business mogul for days has been a rave of the moment on social media as many raised eyebrows concerning his lavish display of wealth and how naira rain at his mother’s burial in Oba, a town in the Idemili South Local Government Areas of Anambra State.

In most videos that went viral, celebrities, business people, and politicians were seen spraying money indiscriminately during a concert held after the interment of his late mother.
