Asaba, Delta State – The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, has congratulated Professor Hilary Owamah, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, on the occasion of his 43rd birthday.
In a message signed by the council chairman, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, the NUJ described Prof. Owamah as an outstanding academic whose career reflects brilliance, hard work, and dedication to service.
Prof. Owamah, who is DELSU’s youngest Professor of Civil Engineering, has made remarkable strides in his academic journey, with over 60 scientific publications to his credit. He has also served in various leadership roles within the university system and contributed significantly to the accreditation of 92 academic programmes at DELSU.
The NUJ noted that his rise to the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is a testament to his commitment and leadership qualities, which continue to inspire both colleagues and students.
“As you celebrate this special day, we pray for renewed strength, greater wisdom, and divine favour upon your life and career. May your new age bring more milestones, family joy, and fulfilment in service to humanity,” the felicitation message read.
The council wished Prof. Owamah many more years of impactful service and academic excellence, while reaffirming its pride in his achievements.
