Umusadege youths in Ndokwa West local government area of Delta State, have commenced their yearly unity cup competition.
The sports competition which is sponsored by the Adage Youth is being played at the Owessei Primary School Ground, Kwale.
It was gathered that the sporting event which holds every December is the brainchild of the current Umusadege Youth President, Comrade Osondu Ezeoba since its inception into office in 2018.
Speaking at the occasion the youth president said that the competition was an avenue to unite the youths and also campaign against cultism, which he said, had yielded good results owing peace in the local government, adding that there were lots of on-going road projects which would soon be completed.
In the opening match, Umu Akala defeated Umu Eleke by two goals while
other contestants lined up for the competition included Umu Eboh versus Umu Beneku, Umu Nze versus Umu, and Alama Ossai versus Umu Achi.
According to the organizers, the winner of the first position will receive a cash gift of N200,000.00, the second position will take home the sum of N100,000.00, while the third position will receive a cash gift of N50,000.00.
