Barrister Matthew Omonade, a member-elect of Delta State House of Assembly representing Ughelli North Constituency, has dished out the sum of seven hundred thousand nairas (#700,000) to constituents for vocational exercise.
He said empowerment of the people remained the only elixir against poverty while emphasizing the necessity to ensure that the circle of poverty among Deltans is broken permanently.
According to him, capacity building among the constituents and the provision of self-sufficient economic empowerment programs would eradicate the tense atmosphere in the State.
Omonade, who won the March 18th, 2023 election under the All Progressives Congress (APC) said this during Ada Omoyoma’s baby dedication on Sunday in Igbuku Orogun, Ughelli North local government area of the State.
The astute lawyer and first-timer House of Assembly lawmaker acknowledge that the primary idea of political leadership is impacting people and society.
Though, this may be tricky in some quarters, Barr. Omonade is fully competent to impact lives as an empathetic and visionary young man, he believes that politics is an opportunity to serve people selflessly with all available resources.
He has always exemplified this rare self-sacrificing, philanthropism in all the stages of his life as a conscious adult, long before his journey into politics. Politics, to him, is an opportunity to do more.
Gushed by his capacity, Barrister Omonade, in his usual way of raising others and brightening their paths, assisted Omoyoma with the sum of seven hundred thousand nairas (N700k) to improve his business.
Those close to him cannot be shocked at his generosity over the years, Omonade is known for helping people find their feet! May God continue to increase him in all he does as he awaits his swearing-in as a legislator.
As a man, he genuinely shows love to help relieve the economic survival of his people. A rare kind of politician. More of his type who bears light and hope are needed to populate the political space.
